FIRST Minnesota North Star Regional 2017 Competitions

April 5th through the 8th
University of Minnesota Campus
in the Mariucci Arena

Each year our team works incredibly hard to prepare for this specific event and this season was no exception. What is different, than years past, is the invitation from Prior Lake KING TeC sent to all Scott County FRC Robotics teams. Thanks to the efforts of Teagan Tersteeg, Katie Hietpas, and Mike Lins, all Scott County Robotics FRC teams (Belle Plaine – Cyber Tigers 4663, Jordan – Techno Tech Robotics 4648, New Prague – Time Bots 5275, Prior Lake – KING TeC 2169, and Shakopee – Saber Robotics 5541) will sit together in the stands, as one big, loud, happy family and cheer each other on at this fun and exciting event.

A big “Thank you!” to Benjamin Bus Company for sponsoring Techno Tech robotics and getting us to and from this amazing event.

KING TeC – Minne Mini Regional

I would like to take a moment and share a story about the recent Minne-Mini Regional Event written by one of our amazing team members, Greta Huebl. A fun time was had by those who could attend this event.

My first official day as a team member of the Jordan High School Robotics’ Team was quite an eventful one. On November 19, we packed up the team van with members. After attending a couple of the many classes that the Prior Lake team headed up, we went back to where we had left Karl to finish prepping him for the matches. Since only one of the drivers from our team could make it, we needed someone to man the ball loading arm. Therefore, I had to step up to the plate and work it.

Although we did not dominate on the field, we sure had a fun time! It is hard to explain the surge of energy and excitement one gets from participating in this kind of an event. However, I would sum it up as a totally awesome experience.
